Meet the speakers
Anna Doran
Anna Qualified in 1992 as a Chartered Physiotherapist and then specialised in MSK/Rheumatology 3 years post qualification. She holds a master’s degree in science of Sports Injury and has previously worked within elite sport and has worked as a private practitioner for 8 years before returning to the NHS. Anna has worked at advanced physio practitioner level for 10 years; she is a qualified injection therapist and non-medical independent prescriber. More recently she has led and developed First Contact Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner service in Northeast Wales and is now MSK Lead Therapist Primary Care MSK Services for Integrated Care Partnership (Cheshire and Wirral Partnership and Countess of Chester NHS trust).
Aideen Evans
Aideen is an MSK Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist with over 17 years’ experience, including five years leading the First Contact Physiotherapy service within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. She has a specialist interest in persistent pain and low back pain, with a strong focus on improving early pathway interventions to reduce the risk of long-term disability. She currently holds a national strategic role within HEIW, influencing the development of the primary care workforce in Wales.
